My vinyl window was stuck open. It was cold and rainy. I called several places, but no luck. No one seemed to really want such a small job. When I spoke to Alex, it was towards the end of the day. I told him my situation, and said it was no rush, but he said he had a last-minute cancellation and would come over and take a look and see if he could fix it. He arrived when he said he would. Very professional and quick. He asked for less money than what he originally quoted. I would definitely use him again.

I hired A & S Services to replace the deck boards on my 20 year old deck at a good price. Alex and his sons are extremely professional in their planning and execution. I was very impressed at the dedication as they worked as a team. They showed up at the promised time cleaned up as they worked leaving my property free of all debris. I had a time frame due to a prior Dr appt they finished leaving me more than enough time to get to my appointment. I have other projects planned and plan to use Alex and his team for all of them. Alex and his son, Sergei, came to help us assemble our furnitures and clean our gutter for our house and I'm glad we found Alex. Despite requesting to schedule the appointment last minute after getting a quote, Alex was very accommodating and it was pleasant to work with him. I'm glad we finally found a handyman that we'll be able to continue using and for other services he offers. And his charges are reasonable unlike other companies. I highly recommend if you're looking for any work done at your house.

Alex arrived when he said he would and was very open to tackling both the projects I had asked him about and some unexpected ones. He did a great job with all of them, and checked in with me after each project was done, or in advance for one potentially tricky one. We were quite pleased and will be hiring him for additional work that needs to be done. Update 3/26/25: We have hired Alex numerous times since my initial review. He is an absolute treasure and we are delighted that we have come to know him and some of his sons, also his wife (who is wonderful at preparing walls for painting, and then painting them). I have referred Alex without reservation to friends, who are also pleased with his dedication to their projects.

Alex and his son replaced a bathroom vanity countertop with two sinks for me. The measurements were awkward so it needed a bit of out-of-the-box thinking but they were flexible and did a fantastic job. They were also careful and considerate with how they worked in my home. The thing I liked best about the experience was that, through the initial consultation followed by the two further visits and two home-depot trips needed to finish the job, Alex was proactive and I never had to chase him. I got the feeling that once he takes on a project you can rely on him to get it done.

Alex fixed our gate and did a great job. It was very uneven and wouldn't shut and he repaired it well so it shut well and smoothly. Then when we had problems again, he came and adjusted it.

I met Alex through his brother, his family has helped me a great deal over the years with a multitude of issues in my 1850's farmhouse, which is at times a difficult house to work on. This is an excellent family business with an eye for both the practical and fine detail. Even if you're not sure why you're having an issue with your home - Alex will be able to find the cause and fix it quickly and do it right. Highly recommend all the services they provide.
